1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.5 for taking an appropriate decision in the case of the petitioner, so far as the disciplinary proceedings which has been initiated/contemplated against the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, he was placed under suspension way back in the year 2015 and still continues under suspension and that the charge-sheet also in this regard was issued at about the same time and thereafter there has been no further development on the charge-sheet.

-23. Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the respondent No.5 take an appropriate decision ensuring that the departmental enquiry, if initiated, to be concluded at the earliest preferably within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

4. If the respondent No.5 on verification of facts finds that the petitioner is not to be proceeded further in a disciplinary proceeding, an appropriate order in that regard should also be taken at the earliest.

5. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondent No.5, so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.
