The present CRMP has been registered on a PUD received from the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Raipur dated 05.09.2017. 2.

Vide the said PUD, the learned Court below has sought for an extension of time in the conclusion of the Criminal Case No. 354/2011 (State v. Deepak Dubey).

The accused in the said case had filed a CRMP before this Court vide CRMP No. 1257/2016, which got disposed of on 13.01.2017 and this Court had in the light of the decisions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the cases of "P. Ramachandra Rao v. State of Karnataka" 2002(4) SCC 578 and "Vakil Prasad Singh v. State of Bihar" 2009(3) SCC 355 had disposed of the CRMP with a direction to the Court below for ensuring that the proceedings in the present case should be concluded at the earliest. It was further directed that the proceedings should at least be concluded within a period of 6 months.

The learned Court below has explained certain unavoidable circumstances, on account of which the matter could not be concluded within the stipulated period and has sought extension of time.

The reasons assigned being satisfactory, this Court is of the opinion that the ends of justice would meet, since further extension of time has become inevitable time has to be extended. Accordingly the present PUD stands disposed of with a direction to the Court below to ensure that the proceedings before the Court below is concluded within a further extended period of 6 months starting from today. 6.

It is directed that the Court below should ensure the compliance of the directives given in the order dated 13.01.2017 while disposing of the CRMP No. 1257/2016 for the early conclusion of the trial. 7.

The CRMP thus stands disposed off.
