This matter arises from the alleged non-compliance of the direction given by this Court in Writ Appeal No. 59/2017, whereby the payment of gratuity in terms of the relevant provisions of the statute with interest @ 8% per annum as ordered is involved.

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as the learned counsel who entered appearance on behalf of the Respondent/Contemnor. 3.

It is stated that the issue involved herein is squarely covered by the order passed by this Court on 27.06.2019 in Contempt Case (C) No.1095 of 2018, whereby the contempt petition was closed, recording the submission of the Respondent/Contemnor that the direction had already been complied with and the entire amount due to the Applicant had been released. Same is the factual position in this case as well.
