The petitioner is before this Court only with prayer for issuance of appropriate direction to the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Raipur.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has filed a complaint, before the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Raipur, which is registered as Case No. 18/282. Complaint filed is pending since 23.04.2018 till date. Therefore, the learned Chairman of the Commission may be directed to dispose of the case at the earliest.

After considering on the submissions, this petition is disposed off at motion stage. Looking to the length of the pendency of the complaint

filed by the petitioner and also for the reason that there is specific provision under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the learned Chairman of the District Commission, Raipur is directed to expedite the proceeding and conclude the same preferably within a period of 60 days from today.
