1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for considering and deciding the claim for compassionate appointment.

2. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case so far as the entitlement of the petitioner is concerned, since the petitioner's application till date appears to have not been rejected by the respondents, let the respondents take an appropriate decision in accordance with the rules, regulations and the scheme for compassionate appointment applicable in the Department at the earliest preferably within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

-23. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
