1. Heard.

2. These are the two bail applications filed under Section 439 of

the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the applicants, who have been arrested in connection with Crime No.222/16 registered at Police Station Gariyaband, Revenue and Civil District Gariyaband (CG) for the offence under Section 20 B of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

3. The applicants along with four other co-accused persons were found carrying 60 Kg of Ganja while they were travelling from Deobhog to Raipur. From the possession of both the applicants, 10 Kg each of Ganja has been recovered, while the remaining contraband has been recovered from the other four accused persons.

4. Considering the fact that the applicants are in jail for almost a year i.e. from 14.12.2016 & 13.12.2016 respectively, this Court is inclined to release the applicants on regular bail.

5. Accordingly, the applications are allowed and the applicants are directed to be released on bail on each of them executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. They are directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
