1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the same set of facts/allegations, both criminal case as well as departmental proceeding is pending consideration against the petitioner and he has moved an application before respondent No. 4 for staying the departmental proceeding till the criminal case is finally decided, but that too, has not yet been decided and is still pending consideration before respondent No. 4.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records.

3. Be that as it may, petitioner is directed to make a representation before respondent No. 4 for expediting the hearing of his earlier filed application within 7 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, which will be considered and decided by respondent No. 4 within further 10 days in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

4. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost(s).
