By way of this petition preferred under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioners are praying for quashment of the F.I.R. No. 298/2017 in relation to the offence punishable under Sections 323, 498A read with Section 34 IPC, lodged by respondent No.2 2.

During pendency of this petition, parties were directed to appear before Mediation Centre, High Court of Chhattisgarh and as per the report dated 10.09.2018 submitted by the Mediator, the parties have arrived at a

compromise, as per the terms and conditions stipulated in the said proceedings. 3.

In view of the Mediation proceedings wherein the parties arrived at an amicable settlement before the Mediator, it would be just and proper to quash the said impugned F.I.R. No. 298/2017 registered in Police Station Gunderdehi, Balod and the proceedings initiated in pursuance thereof. 4.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the impugned F.I.R. No. 298/2017 lodged on 24.08.2017 in relation the offence punishable under Sections 323, 498A read with Section 34 IPC and the proceedings initiated in pursuance thereof are hereby quashed. It is made clear that the terms and conditions stipulated in the Mediation proceedings drawn before the Mediator on 10.09.2018 shall be the part of this order.
