Sam Koshy Order On Board 18/05/2017 The present application under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the applicant apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No. 369/2016 registered at P.S. Kotwali, Jagdalpur (CG) for the offence punishable under Section 498-A of IPC. A written report was lodged by the complainant on 03.11.2016 on the basis of which FIR was lodged on the same day. A plain reading of the complaint as well as the FIR would clearly reflect that there is strong allegation of ill-treatment, torture and assault being given to the complainant at the hands of the present applicant. Thus, considering the nature of allegation levelled against the present applicant, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the applicant.

Accordingly, the instant application filed under Section 438 CrPC stands rejected.
