The order has been passed in exercise of power under
Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1996.

The said order of punishment is an appealable order. Hence, reserving the right of the petitioner for preferring an appeal before the appellate authority, the writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that on such appeal being filed by the petitioner, the appellate authority shall positively consider each of the objections and contentions raised in the appeal and pass a reasoned order within the period stipulated under the rules.
