1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider granting of benefit of arrears of salary so far as 6th Pay Commission and 7th Pay Commission are concerned.

2. According to the petitioner the benefit of 6th Pay Commission and 7th Pay Commission has been given to the petitioner prospectively and he has not been paid arrears of payment from the date it became due till it was actually released. Further relief sought for is that since he is retired on 30.06.2017 while quantifying the pension, the

respondent authorities also should have counted one increment which the petitioner has earned having worked for the period between July, 2016 to June, 2017.

3. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, let petitioner in addition to the representation what he has already made, make a fresh representation to respondent No. 1 & 2, who in turn shall consider the claim of the petitioner on its merits and also on verification of the fact whether similarly placed person have been extended the same relief or not?

4. The claim of the petitioner be decided at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
