1. The claim of the petitioner is that the petitioner has applied for compassionate appointment with the respondents, which till date has not been finalized or decided by the respondent authorities.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the father of the petitioner died in harness on 08.10.1989 and the petitioner on attaining the age of majority applied for the same in the year 2008. However, till date no decision has been taken by the respondent authorities in this regard.
3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case so far as the entitlement part is concerned, the writ petition itself is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to take an appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner in accordance with the Rules, regulations
-2and the scheme for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
