1. Learned counsel for the contemnor would submit that the contempt has been purged inasmuch as the petitioner has been allowed to function as Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Podi, Tehsil Marwahi, District Bilaspur.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even if the petitioner is allowed to function, he is not issued certificate of election as Sarpanch,

therefore, the contempt is still surviving.

3. Considering the submission made by learned counsel for the contemnor, even if the certificate is not issued, the petitioner shall be deemed to have been elected and worked as Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Podi, Tehsil Marwahi, District Bilaspur pursuant to the election in which he is elected. This order of deemed certification shall remain subject to the order passed in pending Writ Petition viz. WPC No.355/2017.
