Limited prayer in this petition is that the petitioner who is resident of Gatelpara has to travel a long distance to different paddy procurement centre and as per the policy of the State, if the paddy procurement exceeds more than 20000 quintal then the paddy procurement centre are to be reorganized and presently the petitioner has to sell the paddy by traveling a distance of more than 8 km at village Dhaura Tikra. It is further submitted that right from 2018 different communication has been exchanged in between the State authorities and the Collector too has recommended for opening of paddy procurement centre in the society of the respondent No.3. The counsel refers to the last communication dated 16.09.2019 and would submit that the said communication though have been sent but it has not been decided; therefore, the State may be directed to take a decision on the communication/ letter dated 16.09.2019 (Annexure P-3) taking into

consideration the earlier communication of 12.07.2018 (Annexure P-1). 2.

It is within the administrative jurisdiction of the State to consider the request. However, taking into fact as has been stated by the petitioner, the State shall decide the opening of the paddy procurement centre as per the communication of the Collector made from time to time within a reasonable period. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case. 3.
