1. Despite there being an order passed by the Arbitrator appointed under Section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956, the amount of compensation has not been paid to the petitioner.

2. Petitioner has already moved representation for release of the amount, but no order has yet been passed for releasing the amount in his favour.

3. Let the concerned Land Acquisition OfÏcer make payment of the amount awarded by the Arbitrator within a period of 1 month from today. The petitioner's entitlement to interest on the awarded amount is left open to be determined as and when the petitioner make such prayer and prefer fresh writ petition for which liberty is reserved in his favour.

4. The writ petition is disposed of.
