Learned counsel for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that identical writ petitions i.e. WPS No.672 of 2017 and other connected matters came up before the coordinate Bench of this Court and the Court vide its order dated 09.02.2017 has only granted liberty to the similarly placed petitioners to make suitable representation before the competent authority, who in turn, shall decide the same keeping in view the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka & Others Vs. Umadevi and Others, reported in 2006 (4) SCC 1. 2.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is also

disposed off in similar terms. The petitioner is at liberty to make a detailed representation before the competent authority for redressal of his grievance and the respondent authority shall consider and decide the same as early as possible keeping in view of the observations made by the Supreme Court in case of Umadevi (Supra).
