The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition was for an appropriate direction to the respondents for taking a decision on the application of voluntary retirement that he has applied. 2.

Yesterday, the State counsel was directed to seek instruction.

Today, Shri D. Wankhede, Govt. Advocate, on instruction and with a copy of the order dated 29.10.2018, submits that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed as they have already allowed the application and have treated the petitioner to be retired w.e.f. 29.10.2018. State counsel is directed to bring this order on record.

In view of the submission made by the State counsel and the document brought on record, this Court is of the opinion that the matter has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous.
