At the outset, it is stated at the bar by learned counsel for the petitioner that the amount, which was required to be returned after allowing the writ petition, has now been returned to the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that since the amount of recovery was illegally made, the period, during which, the amount remained with the respondent, the petitioner is entitled to payment of interest also.

In the contempt petition, this aspect cannot be looked into. The order passed by this Court has been complied with. The contempt petition, is therefore, closed with liberty to the petitioner to claim interest, if it is recoverable under the law, through appropriate proceedings.
