1. Heard.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was earlier known as Jeevan Lal Berman, son of Sukhi Ram Singh which was recorded in the service book. Subsequently, the petitioner changed his name as Jai Singh, son of Sukhi Ram Singh and the required formalities were completed. It is stated that thereafter he has filed necessary application to the respondents (Annexure P-1) and other letters also, however, the same is not carried out. The prayer made by the petitioner is that the application for change of name
of petitioner may be considered and accordingly it may be changed in the government records.
3. Considering the limited prayer, the representation for change of name of the petitioner is pending with the respondent authorities. The respondent authorities are directed to decide such representation within a further period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
