1. The grievance of the petitioner is the order of suspension issued against the petitioner on 31.05.2018.

2. The petitioner had immediately challenged the same by way of a writ petition i.e. WPS No. 4418/2018. This Court had disposed off the writ petition to prefer a departmental appeal before the Appellate authority. The petitioner subsequently has also preferred an appeal in the month July, 2018, but no decision has been taken in this regard.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that since this Court had already while disposing of the writ petition i.e. WPS No. 4418/2018 had directed the Appellate authority to decide the same within a period of 90 days, but for the reasons best known, the appeal has till date not been decided.

4. Under the circumstances, the present writ petition is also disposed off with a specific direction to the Appellate authority to ensure that the departmental appeal preferred by the petitioner is decided within a further limit of 60 days.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
