The grievance of the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is that the petitioner in spite of the fact that he being senior on the post of Senior Agricultural Development Officer has been ignored from being promoted to the post of Assistant Director Agriculture and juniors to the petitioner have been promoted vide order Annexure-P/1 dated 25/10/2018. 2.

According to the counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner had immediately made representation to the higher authorities in the department vide Annexure-P/3 dated 29/10/2018 and the petitioner prays for limited direction that the authorities concerned may consider and decide his

representation and if the petitioner is found eligible and suitable, the petitioner also granted benefit of promotion. 3.

To the said limited prayer, the State counsel does not have any objection.

Accordingly, the instant Writ Petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondents to immediately consider and decide the representation/objection which the petitioner has raised so far as he being eligible as well as senior to some of the persons who have been promoted vide Annexure-P/1. While deciding the same, the authorities are expected to pass a reasoned and speaking order.

Let this exercise be done within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
