Heard on admission. Perused the material available. 2.

Vide judgment dated 20.8.2019 passed by this Court in Criminal Appeal No.130 of 2019, while upholding the conviction of Appellant/Petitioner Ramashankar Soni under Sections 450 and 397/34 of the Indian Penal Code, he has been sentenced to the period already undergone by him and the fine sentence has been enhanced to Rs.25,000/- and Rs.25,000/-, respectively. The said enhancement in the fine sentence is under challenge in the instant application.

While upholding the conviction and reducing the jail sentence to the period already undergone, the enhancement under challenge was made after due consideration of the facts and circumstances

of the case as also of the submissions put forth on behalf of the parties and, therefore, the said enhancement is just and proper and does not warrant any interference.

The instant application (Cr.M.P.) is, therefore, dismissed at the admission stage itself.
