The challenge in the present Writ Petition is to the order of suspension dated 13/11/2018.

Perusal of record would show that, the order of suspension has been passed invoking the provision of Rule 9 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966. 3.

Perusal of record would also show that, the said order is an appealable order under Rule 23.

The petitioner has not preferred the appeal against the order of Disciplinary Authority and has straight away filed the present Writ Petition. 5.

The present Writ Petition therefore on account of there being an alternative statutory remedy available to the petitioner is held to be notsustainable. 6.

However, the right of the petitioner stands reserved for preferring an appeal before the Appellate Authority in accordance with the rules and if any appeal is so preferred, it is expected that the Appellate Authority shall decide the same on its merits as expeditiously as possible. 7.

With the aforesaid observations, the present Writ Petition stands disposed off.
