Counsel for the petitioner, on a query being put, fairly submits that the advertisement has already been acted upon and the selected candidates have also been granted appointment. She submits that in the subsequent recruitment the petitioner has also been selected in the same college though on a different post.

Given the said fact, this court is of the opinion that the substantial grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Accordingly, The writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to file a fresh petition if he is still aggrieved so far as the grant of regular pay scale as also for a claim of remuneration as per the UGC regulations.
