Agrawal Order On Board 29/11/2019 (1) Shri Siddiqui, learned counsel appearing for the State, on instruction, would submit that affidavit of District Magistrate, Korba has been filed in compliance of the order dated 21.11.2019 and the petitioner's application for parole will be considered afresh within a period of seven days from today in light of the decision rendered by this Court in the

matter of Rakesh Shende v. State of Chhatisgarh & others1. (2) In view of the aforesaid submissions, impugned order dated 13.08.2019 is liable to be and is hereby quashed. It is directed that petitioner's application for grant of parole will be considered and decided in accordance with law. (3) It is stated at the bar that 18 applications for parole is pending consideration in the District of Korba. (4) Shri Siddiqui, learned Dy. Advocate General, on instructions, submits that the aforesaid applications will be considered and decided strictly in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of two weeks from today.

(5) The aforesaid statement is placed on record.

(6) Copy of this order be sent to the District Magistrate, Korba for compliance and needful.

(7) It is made clear that after the said applications is decided, information to this effect will be brought to this Court by filing action taken report.

(8) With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
