Ms. Abhyunnati Singh, Panel Lawyer Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 15/11/2019
1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.2 to take appropriate steps for adding the name of petitioner in the Voter list of Subhash Ward, Kanker, District Kanker for the local body elctions to be held in the near future.
2. Perusal of the record would show that petitioner on an earlier occasion had moved an application which has been rejected by respondent No.2
vide his order dated 24.10.2019 Annexure P-1. One of the main reasons for rejecting the same was that it was not in the proper format. 3. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact that claim of the petitioner is only for adding his name in the voter list in respect of local body elections, let petitioner appear before respondent No.2 and fill up the requisite form for adding his name in the voter list in accordance with format that is required for the same.
