1. The respondents have filed reply, wherein they have enclosed a document Annexure R-1 dated 09.01.2020. In the said order, the respondents have held that since the applicant does have the requisite length of service required for promotion. The applicant is ineligible for promotion, even if he is granted promotion under the quota fixed for Persons with Disability Act.

Given the fact that the stand of the respondents is that the petitioner/applicant is ineligible for promotion for want of sufficient length of service as per the rules, this Court is of the opinion that the order so far as the claim of the applicant is concerned, stands answered with. If at all, if the applicant is aggrieved of the decision rendered by the respondents in Annexure R-1, the liberty would be open to him to assail the same in a fresh proceeding altogether.

3. With the aforesaid observation, the Contempt Petition stands disposed off.
