1. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has contributed certain amount to the Employees Provident Fund while he was in service of respondents 2 to 4 for the period from 1995 till the date of his retirement in the year 2005. According to the petitioner, the amount so contributed was approximately Rs. 49,573/- subject to verification.

It is submitted that in earlier round of litigation, the order dated 16.02.2018 passed in WPS No. 6178 of 2016 records the fact that as agreed the petitioner would make deposit with the department from 01.03.1971 to 01.11.1995 so that the pensionary benefits are given to him. Learned counsel submits that as on today the petitioner is unable to make the said contribution, which comes around more than Rs.3 lakhs and prays that the amount i.e., approximately Rs.49,573/- which was deducted from the year 1995 till his retirement may be returned.

3. Learned counsel for respondent no.6 would submit that the amount if so contributed will be verified and thereafter the same would be paid as per the scheme.

In view of the submissions made by the parties, It is directed that respondent no.6 shall return the amount contributed by the petitioner and deducted from 1995 till the retirement of the petitioner in accordance with the Scheme to the respondent/Corporation within a period of 60 days from today. The petitioner may also submit the necessary bank particulars whereby the amount deposited so as to return the same to him at the earliest.
