1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No.1 & 2 to consider claim of the petitioner for promotion from the post of Field Worker to the post of Lab Assistant.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that though the petitioner fulfills all the requisite eligibility criteria and seniority for promotion, but the respondent authorities are not considering the case of the petitioner for the reason best known to them. It is further contention of the petitioner that he has made repeated
representations to the authorities concerned but those representations have also not been decided till date.
3. Given facts the nature of dispute the petitioner has raised. Let respondent No.2 under whom the petitioner is working take a decision on the representation which the petitioner has made keeping in view the rules and regulations and the clarification pertaining to the promotion applicable so far as the services of the petitioner is concerned. Let this exercise be completed at the earliest, preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order of this Court. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise respondent No.2 so far as the order of this Court. It is further made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case so far as the entitlement of the petitioner is concerned.
4. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed off.
