Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's land has been acquired for Belpali Canal Project by the Water Resources Department in the year 2012. However, while calculating the amount of compensation, the solatium has not been paid to the petitioner.

If the petitioner feels dissatisfied with the adequacy of the amount of compensation offered to him, the appropriate course is to

move an application under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

The petitioner may move such application, which shall be considered by the competent authority in accordance with law. 4.
