1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the application of the petitioner pending before respondent No.2 for renewal of his Gun License at the earliest.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's Gun license had expired on 31.12.2014 and petitioner immediately submitted an application before respondent No.2 for renewal of the license on the same day i.e. on 31.12.2014 which however till date has not been finalized.

3. Given the limited relief that petitioner has sought for, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for renewal of gun license of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
