All the three convicts have preferred CRA No.1580/2019, however, before that, two convicts namely Suresh Ram and Deepak Ekka had already preferred CRA No.1686/2019. Both the appeals have been preferred through the High Court Legal Services Committee.

Since two appeals by the same appellant cannot be permitted to continue, the proceeding of CRA No.1686/2019 is closed. Shri A. N. Pandey, Advocate, who has been appointed in CRA No.1686/2019, is also permitted to argue the matter in CRA No.1580/2019.

Accordingly, CRA No.1686/2019 is closed and disposed of. CRA No.1580/2019 is admitted for hearing.

Issue notice to the respondent on merit as well as on IA No.1. Learned State counsel would accept notice for the respondent and undertake to file reply to IA No.1 within 6 weeks.

In view of the above, process fee need not be paid. Post the matter after 6 weeks.
