1. The only issue raised by the petitioner in the instant case is that though the case of the petitioner has been considered for promotion from the post of Peon, class-IV category to the post of Assistant Grade-III, class-III category and the matter has been recommended for promotion by the respondent No.4 to the respondents No.2 & 3, but no final decision has been taken.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner fulfills all the requisite eligibility criteria for the said promotion and therefore an appropriate direction may be passed in this regard.

3. Taking into consideration the nature of relief sought for and the fact

that the case of the petitioner is pending consideration before the respondents No.2 & 3, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of at this juncture with a direction to the respondents No. 2 & 3 to take an appropriate decision at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.

4. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to appraise the respondents No. 2 & 3 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
