1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the alleged election which has been conducted by the respondents.

2. Prima facie, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition is not maintainable for the reason that the petitioners have an alternative statutory remedy available by raising the dispute under Section 64 of the Chhattisgarh Co-operative Society Act,1960.

3. Reserving the right of the petitioners to avail the said remedy under Section 64 of the Chhattisgarh Co-operative Society Act,1960, the present writ petition stands dismissed as not maintainable.

4. Subject to the petitioners raising a dispute, the authorities are expected to take a decision on its merit at the earliest. Sd/- P. Sam Koshy Judge Khatai
