1. The grievance of the petitioners is that they were appointed to the Posts of Junior Engineer and Assistant Engineer respectively in the year 2011 under the provisions of Disabled Persons Act, 1995 and since the petitioners are covered under the The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 they are entitled for promotions to the next higher posts under the quota of 30% reservation, however, the case of the petitioners has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioners have filed various representations to the respondents, which are pending consideration.
2. Since the petitioners are claiming promotion to the next higher post in the light of the Circular and the Act, liberty is granted to the petitioners to make a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of 3 weeks from today and on such representations being filed, the same shall be considered and decided as per the existing Circular or Instructions within an outer limit of 90 days.
