Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 25.11.2019
1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is for an appropriate direction to the Respondent No. 03 to take a decision on the application that the petitioner has filed for inserting his name in the revenue records, so far as the portion of the land situated at Khasra No. 993/1-D measuring 0.40 acre.
2. According to the counsel for the petitioner, the mutation proceedings initiated by the petitioner under Section 110 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code has already been decided in favour of petitioner and it is only thereafter that the application for adding the name of the petitioner in the revenue records has been filed by him, which till
-2date has not been decided. Though, that the application was filed as early as on 15.12.2018.
3. Given the said facts and without entering into the merits of the case, this Court is of the opinion that since the application for adding the name of the petitioner in the revenue records is pending for almost one month before the Respondent No. 3, the Respondent No. 03 is directed to consider the same in-accordance-with law at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
