Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the subsequent promotion order passed by the respondent authorities on 27.03.2020, the instant writ petition has become infructuous. Therefore, he prays to withdraw this writ petition. In view of his submission made, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

However, the petitioners are at liberty to file an appropriate fresh petition for the new cause of action.
