1. The limited grievance which the petitioner raised in the present writ petition is for a direction to respondent no.1 to decide the pending appeal against the order of punishment inflicted upon the petitioner.

2. Contention of the counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner while working as a lecturer was placed under suspension on 04.03.2013 and subsequently was inflicted with a punishment of stoppage of 2 annual increments with cumulative effect vide order dated 02.02.2016. Against the said order, the petitioner preferred an

appeal before the competent authority but the appeal till date has not been decided.

3. Given the factual matrix of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.1 to decide the appeal of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
