1. The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is against the order of compulsory retirement passed by the Department on 21.12.2016. The petitioner had preferred an appeal to his excellency to the Governor of the State of Chhattisgarh and the appeal though was preferred on 20.03.2017, the same till date is pending consideration.

2. The prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that let the Appellate Authority take a decision at the earliest in accordance with the rules.

3. The said limited prayer is not opposed by learned State counsel.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the Appellate Authority to ensure that the appeal is decided as early as possible.

5. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.

6. No order as to costs.
