1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioners have joined in the post of Platoon Commander in September, 2013 and the respondent No.5 & 6 also joined to the post of Sub Inspector in the year 2013. Though earlier in the seniority list, the name of the petitioners were ahead of the respondent No.5 & 6; however, subsequently taking the joining of the respondent No.5 & 6 from the year 2009 on the basis of
certain litigation which was pending they were promoted and the petitioners were deprived for consideration for promotion. The petitioners submit that, at this moment, the representation of the petitioners which is pending may be directed to be decided.
2. Considering the factual aspect, the petitioners claiming discrimination on the ground that the others have been granted promotion. Since the limited prayer has been made, without any observation on merit, at this stage, it is directed that the respondent No.2/ D.G.P. may decide the representation of the petitioners. The petitioners shall be at liberty to make a fresh representation with all relevant documents including the copy of the writ petition within a period of 3 weeks and thereafter respondent No.2 shall decide the representation of the petitioners within a further period of 90 days.
