The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of the order dated 3.7.2019 passed by this Court in WPS No. 4857/2019. 2.

Respondent entered his appearance before this Court and produced a copy of order dated 29.1.2020 whereby it has been held that the petitioner is not entitled for consideration for grant of compassionate appointment as the husband of the petitioner was working as a contractual employee, and the contractual employees are not entitled for the benefits under the scheme for compassionate appointment. 3.

In view of the fact that the respondent has taken a decision on 29.1.2020, this Court is of the opinion that the order passed by this Court has been complied with. If at all, if the petitioner is aggrieved of the subsequent decision dated 29.1.2020, the remedy left for the petitioner is to challenge the same by way of a fresh writ petition as the veracity of the said order cannot be tested under the contempt jurisdiction of this Court. 4.

Accordingly, the contempt petition is disposed of and the respondent is discharged from the contempt proceedings.
