The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner had applied for grant of contract and lease over the pond within the limit of Nagar Palika Sakti, District Janjgir Champa, however, the same has not been decided till date. 2.

The contention of the petitioner is that, in the past also the petitioner have been given contract and lease and as on date there is no contract and lease in operation and the petitioner have applied for the same. However, inspite of reminders no decision has been taken by the respondent No.3. Therefore, the petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent No.3 for taking a decision on the application/representation of the petitioner for grant of contract and lease at the earliest.

Further contention of the petitioner is that, the application which the petitioner has filed has also recommendation in their favour from the concerned Nagar Palika.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, this court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition itself is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 to take a decision on the application/representation of the petitioner so far as grant of contract and lease over the pond under Nagar Palika, Sakti for the purpose of fishing activities is concerned.

The respondent No.3 is expected to take a decision at the earliest preferably within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
