The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for in this petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.3 for deciding the application/representation of the petitioner seeking correction of the caste status of the petitioner in the revenue records of the property owned by the petitioner.

According to the petitioner, she has moved an application on 01.12.2018 before the respondent No.3 requesting for correction in the Jamabandi records of the petitioner wherein initially the caste status of the petitioner was recorded as Aghariya, but later on it is being reflected as Lohar. The said application is pending before the respondent No.3 for almost an year therefore the present writ petition has been filed for an early decision on the same.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition, at this juncture, stands disposed of directing the respondent No.3
-2to take a decision on the application submitted by the petitioner for correction of caste status in the Jamabandi records, at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
