1. Heard.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was removed by an order dated 08.08.2018, thereafter, he made a statutory internal appeal before the appellate authority on 08.09.2018 against such removal. It is contended that though the standing order mandates that the appeal of the like nature should be decided within a period of 6 months, the same is not been decided despite two reminders having been given on 07.02.2019 and 29.08.2019. Therefore, the limited prayer of the petitioner is that the SECL may be directed to decide the

statutory appeal within a stipulated period.

3. Per contra, learned counsel for the respondents opposes the arguments advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties. Taking into the limited prayer made and considering that the statutory appeal against the dismissal has been preferred and perusal of the record shows that two reminders have been given to the SECL to decide the statutory appeal, the SECL is directed to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a further period of 60 days from the date of receipt of this order.
