1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.2 to take an appropriate decision on the application that the petitioner has moved for the renewal of the license, so far as operating a private security agency is concerned under "The Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005". The Additional Director General of Police, Police Headquarters, Raipur has been appointed as a controlling authority for taking a decision on the application for issuance and renewal of license.

2. According to the petitioner, his license was valid till 16.11.2019, however before the completion of the said license period, the petitioner had already vide application dated 31.07.2019 had moved

an application for renewal of the same, which till date is pending consideration.

Given the aforesaid facts, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending rather ends of justice would meet if the respondent No.2 is directed to decide the application for renewal of his license in accordance to Rules pending before the controlling authority since 31.07.2019 at the earliest preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, as provided under sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the aforesaid Act of 2005.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
