1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent No.3 to take an appropriate decision in the application put forth by the petitioner for grant of permanent caste certificate.

2. Counsel for the State has only opposed to the extent that the application filed by the petitioner does not seem to be in proper format as prescribed under the Rules governing the field.

3. Be that as it may, since the relief sought for is only for a direction to take a decision to the application filed by the petitioner for grant of permanent caste certificate, ends of justice would meet if the respondent No.3 is directed to take appropriate steps at the earliest preferably within a period of 3 months subject to conducting the

normal verification as is required under the Act and Rules governing the field.

4. The respondent No.3 would also if required ask the petitioner to complete the formalities, so far as the filling up of form, if required in a format.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
