1. The petitioner makes an oral request for adding the Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Pithora, district Mahasamund as a necessary party.

2. The said oral request stands allowed. Let necessary amendment be carried out during the course of the day itself.

3. The limited relief that the petitioner seeks at the outset is that the Deputy District Election Officer for and on behalf of the District Election Officer, Mahasamund vide its correspondence dated 19.12.2019 had directed the respondent no.4 to look into the complaint filed by the petitioner in respect of 7 names being wrongly entered in the voter list of Gram Panchayat Piproud, Block Pithora. The Office of the Election Officer had directed the SDO to verify the contents of the complaint and take appropriate steps immediately. According to the petitioner, there has been no further development on this. He further submits that if the concerned SDO (Revenue) acts upon the direction given by the Election Officer, the grievance would stand redressed.

Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondent no.4 is directed to take appropriate steps on the basis of the direction given by the Office of the Election Officer dated 19.12.2019 if no action till date has been taken.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. The petitioner shall apprise the respondent no.4 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned. It is expected that the respondent no.4, if he has not taken any decision on the direction given from the Office of the Election Officer dated 19.12.2019 till now, shall take an appropriate decision at the earliest preferably within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
