The present contempt petition has been filed on the ground that the petitioner made a complaint to the Police on 23rd December, 2023 against certain persons who threatened the petitioner. However no action has been taken on the said complaint till now.

It is submitted that the petitioner again made a complaint dated 29 December, 2023 to the DCP, Outer North, Delhi and to the contemnor no.1. However till date, no action has been taken on the said complaint. 5.

Learned counsel appearing on advance notice on behalf of the respondents submits that the petitioner himself has not been cooperating in the investigation and has till date not recorded his statement in the police station.

However, this fact is disputed by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. She submits that the petitioner undertakes to cooperate in the investigation being carried out by the respondent police. She further submits that the petitioner is ready to visit the concerned police station today itself for the purpose of recording his statement.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the police shall record the statement of the petitioner if he appears today before the concerned police station.

This Court records the undertaking on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner shall appear before the SHO, Police Station - Narela Industrial Area, New Delhi-110040 today itself for the purpose of recording his statement.

Learned counsel for the respondent also gives an undertaking that the investigation by the police shall be carried out scrupulously without any delay.
