This petition has been filed with the following prayers:- "a) Pass an Order Quashing/ Setting Aside the Transfer Order No. 108/2025-PERS-1-P1DA1PER-DG dated 05.12.2025 qua the Petitioner and the subsequent letter dated 29.12.2025 rejecting the representation of the Petitioner for terminal posting as such is arbitrary, misleading and bad in law; and/ or b) Issue appropriate writ or orders directing the Respondents to consider the request of the Petitioner and permit him for terminal posting in an area/ station near his village in District Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh"

In effect, the petitioner is challenging his transfer order dated 05.12.2025 to Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir.

Mr. Aditya Narayan Tripathy, counsel for the petitioner submits that though the respondents have granted 10 days time to enable the petitioner join his place of posting, in view of the fact that his son is undergoing treatment, the respondents may be directed to grant one month time from today to enable the petitioner join his place of posting at Pulwama. 5.

Mr. Jagdish Chandra Solanki, learned CGSC for the respondents states, on instruction from the officer, who is present in Court that if an application is made by the petitioner, for extending the time for joining the place of posting, the same shall be considered favourably. 6.

The counsel for the petitioner also state that on the petitioner joining his place of posting in Kashmir, as and when the petitioner intends to come to Delhi for the treatment of his son, direction be given to the respondents to consider his request for leave favourably.

The officer present in Court on behalf of the respondents would submit that subject to operational requirements, if any such request is made, the same shall be considered favourably.

Taking the submissions on record, the petition is disposed of. The pending application is also disposed of as having become infructuous. V.
