The bone of contention in the present case is that only a petty issue remains unaddressed. The Petitioner demitted the office on attaining the age of superannuation in the year 2013. Disciplinary Proceedings were pending against him in which final order has recently been passed. He has been penalised with 10% pension cut for a period of one year which has also concluded. 2.

The only dispute that persists is with regard to payment of subscription for availing lifetime CGHS Card. The Petitioner claims that the amount is payable as per O.M. dated 20.05.2009, which is applicable to him because he retired in the year 2013. to pay the subscription amount as per O.M. dated 27.06.2024. 3.

This Court has heard the learned counsel representing the parties.

Issuance of lifetime CGHS Card has been delayed on account of Disciplinary Proceedings which has been recently decided. Hence, the Petitioner cannot be directed to pay subscription amount as per O.M. dated 27.06.2024, because he was governed by O.M. dated 20.05.2009.

The Petitioner who is present in the Court states that he has already deposited an amount of ₹20,800/-. He shall be required to deposit the remaining amount as per O.M. dated 20.05.2009. The Respondents are directed to issue lifetime CGHS Card to the Petitioner.

The present writ petition is disposed of with aforesaid direction. Pending application also stands disposed of.
